Why not a slack or discord community?

First of all thanks for the cold emailing guide. really good content!

I also love the idea behind the forum. However, it’s a bit cumbersome to checking a separate website. How come there is not Slack or Discord community instead?

Hi @tolgahdur, thanks! You raise a good point about convenience. I chose a forum over chat for a simple reason: forums encourage people to slow down and think. Chat moves fast and feels easy, but that often means rushed thoughts and shallow discussions.

Some of my best memories are from old web forums, where you’d see the same people showing up day after day to write careful, interesting posts. That’s what I want to build here. Right now it’s quiet since we’re in beta, but I believe patience will lead to better conversations.

My hope is that, with time, this becomes the most thoughtful place on the internet for people to discuss outbound sales and cold email. A place where each post adds real value, and where future readers can learn from our collective experience.

The posts people write here will be useful not just today, but months from now when someone searches for help with the same problem.

(PS, you can actually get the Za-zu forum on your phone via the Discourse app)

100% slack you will lose oversight fast + free version you cannot search further than last 90 days (so huge cap on evergreen knowledge) without starting to pay somewhere around 7 dollars member per month :fearful:
